The Rules of the Yurt

The yurt is available only to family and friends of Daniel & Jenny Walsh. We want everyone to have a wonderful time out here. These rules keep the yurt beautiful for the next guests, and help us stay on good terms with the neighbors.

Absolute No's, Non-Negotiable

No smoking of any kind, anywhere inside the yurt, ever. This means cigarettes, cigars, vaping, everything.
No candles or open flames inside. The yurt is a canvas structure, fire is a serious hazard.
No firearms, shooting, or weapons of any kind on the property.

Pets

Dogs and cats are welcome We love animals! Well-behaved dogs and cats are allowed, but they must be potty trained. If bringing a cat, please bring your own litter box and litter.
No destructive pets Any damage caused by your pet is your responsibility. If your animal has a history of chewing, scratching, or accidents, please make arrangements accordingly.
Clean up after your pet Please pick up after your pet on the property and dispose of waste appropriately.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM Sound carries far out here and neighbors will notice. Please keep voices, music, and outdoor activity at a respectful level after 10pm. This is a firm rule, our relationship with the neighborhood depends on it.

Campfire

No fires during burn bans No fires in the fire pit if there's a burn ban in effect for the county. Please check local conditions before lighting a fire.

Damage & Cleanliness

You break it, you buy it Accidents happen, we get it. But if something is broken or damaged during your stay, we ask that you let us know and cover the cost of repair or replacement. Please don't leave without telling us.
Leave it as you found it Please tidy up before you leave, dishes washed, trash bagged and placed outside, bedding stripped. We'll handle the deep clean, but a basic tidy-up goes a long way.

Wildlife

Wild animals are nearby The wetlands next to the property are home to wildlife including bears and cougars. Please don't leave food outside overnight.

General

Respect the property and surroundings This is a natural setting we love deeply. Please treat the land, trees, and wildlife with care.
Questions? Just ask If anything is unclear or something comes up during your stay, reach out. We'd rather hear from you than have something go wrong in silence.
